INTERVENTION AREAS
The intervention areas reflect our objective of providing support to Ecuador during the transition process from a developing model of economy based on exploitation of non-renewable natural resources and inequitable distribution of opportunities, to a new model that promotes human development, based on knowledge. With this purpose, FARO Group Works through five Intervention Areas:
Environment & Society
The main objective of this Area is to improve environment management, through the provision of public policies to be applied at the central, regional and local levels, as well as through institutional strengthening.
Public Governance
This Area prepares the institutions for an adequate decision-making, and to the actors of the civil society and private sector, for their participation in the process of generation, implementation and control of public policies.
Equity & Social Opportunities
The purpose of this Area is to establish policies and practices that lead to a more equitable society, with more opportunities, so that all people reach their maximum potential with freedom and solidarity.
Information Society
This Area is aimed to identify opportunities of use of information and communication technologies, as well as innovative regulation schemes, aimed to facilitate democratization and construction of an information-based society.
Economic Growth
This Area works to generate evidence of the main political and institutional factors that affect economic development and competitiveness. Also, to develop capacities and generate influence on public policies based on such evidences.
Our Ways of Intervention
Information-based dialogue: FARO Group will promote dialogue based on information, through the presentation of evidences for a strict analysis and plural spaces to find solutions on public issues.
Development of capacities: FARO Group will focus its efforts on developing capacities in actors for transformation of ideas into actions, through training, organization improvement and generation of public-private alliances.
